Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
The Multimodality Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures in two or more modalities with at least 25% of time dedicated to advanced areas such as CT MRI Nuclear Medicine or Interventional Radiology.
This role works under the supervision of a Radiologist providing imaging services to both ambulatory and hospital-based patients. The technologist ensures adherence to standardized imaging protocols and assists in the accurate diagnosis of disease and injury.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in at least two modalities (e.g. CT MRI X-ray Nuc Med etc.)
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process
- Accurately follow physician orders and established imaging protocols
- Review and assess images for quality and completeness
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain appropriate documentation and patient records
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety standards
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
Experience:
- Less than 1 year of experience required
Licenses/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer
- Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT): Texas State License required (if applicable for modality)
- Certification in at least two imaging modalities from the following (50% of time must be spent in the secondary modality):
- ARRT Certifications:
- Radiography (R)
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
- Nuclear Medicine (N)
- Sonography (S)
- Interventional Radiology (VI)
- Mammography (M)
- Bone Densitometry (BD)
- Breast Sonography (BS)
- Cardiac-Interventional (CI)
- Cardiovascular Interventional (CV)
- ARDMS Certifications:
- Abdomen (AB)
- Breast (BR)
- Fetal Echo (FE)
- OB/GYN (OB)
- Pediatric Sonography (PS)
- CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- ARMRIT American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
- RVT Registered Vascular Technologist
