Food by WHSmith currently operates over twenty cafes in NSW QLD VIC and SA providing food and beverages to hospital employees patients and the general public. About the Role
As a Cook you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable multitasking with great time management skills to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service. This is a full time position Monday to Friday.
You will also be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Pre-service kitchen preparation.
- Preparation of all ingredients and menu items.
- Maintaining food safety WHS and HACCAP standards.
- Responsible for ensuring the kitchen is always a clean safe and efficient workspace.
- Assume some responsibility of all kitchen duties ordering and compliance.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- 1- 2 Years of food preparation and presentation experience within a hospitality environment.
- Food Safety Supervisor certification is desired.
- HACCP & food safety knowledge.
- Experience managing stock control and costs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for food and beverage.
