Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Remote Medical Practice Scheduler for our HeartPlace Imaging Clinic located in the Dallas/Fort Worth TX area.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for scheduling rescheduling and cancelling all procedure(s).
Obtains and keeps up to date on all prior authorizations.
Contacts area facility for available time for procedure.
Educates patients on all aspects of the procedure that is scheduled.
Schedules all pre-op clearance appointments with PCP or specialist.
Coordinates all paperwork is needed (Including: complete order sets H & Ps and imaging).
Works with physicians to keep preoperative surgical protocols updated.
Schedules all initial follow-up appointments from procedure.
Completes informed consents.
Calls in prescriptions according to MD protocol for procedure.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of clinical experience in a front office /scheduling role.
Advanced imaging scheduling experience preferred but not required.
