Job Summary

Somerset Middle School is seeking a committed and knowledgeable part-time Math Interventionist (0.5 FTE) to support students in grades 68 who are performing below grade level in mathematics. This role focuses on delivering targeted data-driven math interventions to help students build essential skills and achieve academic growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about student success skilled in middle school math content and experienced with intervention strategies within an MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) ResponsibilitiesProvide direct instruction in mathematics to small groups and individual students identified for intervention using evidence-based strategies aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum closely with classroom teachers instructional coaches and special education staff to design and implement tiered intervention plans based on student in the MTSS process including regular progress monitoring and documentation of student various assessment tools (formative benchmark and diagnostic) to identify skill gaps inform instruction and adjust intervention strategies as accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with educators families and in grade-level team meetings and data cycles to identify students needing support and review intervention digital tools and manipulatives to engage students and support conceptual relevant professional development to stay current with research-based practices in math instruction and other duties as assigned by the principal or district administration.
