ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

We are seeking a fixed-term Registered Nurse or dual Registered Nurse/Midwife with recent experience in Special Care Nursery or Neonatal Intensive Care to join our core staff. We are a Level 5 Special Care Nursery caring for babies over 32 weeks gestation and 1200g in weight. We offer High Flow and CPAP respiratory support so experience with these forms of ventilation is required. Highly desirable is the completion of or willingness to obtain a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in the Specialist Care of the Newborn. Recent completion of the PIPER NeoResus Advanced Resuscitation Program is also highly desirable.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Previous experience in a Level 4 Special Care Nursery or above

  • Excellent clinical skills to deliver high quality care and competency in emergencies;

  • Demonstrated leadership skills; and

  • The ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
