Job Description
Axiom a global leader in alternative legal services is working with a globally recognized technology company seeking an Employment Associate to join their team on an interim-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to explore working with a leader in the technology space and establish a successful career as an in-house employment lawyer.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and pragmatic legal advice in all areas of employment law including employment agreements and structures regulatory compliance dispute resolution and mitigation policy and procedures and labor/union negotiations.
- Review draft and update policies procedures and playbooks and guide internal people managers and HR on matters impacting wage and hour and gig economy workers.
- Manage employment-related disputes and mitigate risk and potential litigation.
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 3-8 years of experience focusing on labour and employment law in Australia.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Employment Laws and the Fair Work Act.
- Experience working within a large in-house legal department or with a sophisticated law firm.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
