Job Summary
Work within the general education classroom supporting all scholars including scholars with individual needs (not limited to learning disabilities emotional disturbance intellectual disability and speech/language impairment). Demonstrate a level of professionalism in communication and collaboration among members of the school community including colleagues families and related teachers by participating in instructional opportunities by using appropriate strategies and techniques developed by teachers and other professional staff to support individual students needs. They will assist teachers in providing instruction in reading writing and mathematics. Support a learning environment that encourages appropriate standards of behavior positive social interaction active engagement in learning and self-motivation by maintaining and monitoring compliance with classroom rules procedures and behavior includes whole group support small group interventions individual one-to-one aides
