We are seeking a talentedSystem and Warehouse Leaderto join us inCluj-Napoca Romaniaat our EMEA Technology Hub. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As the System and Warehouse Leader within the Career Products Business Intelligence team you will lead the maintenance and enhancement of our teams reporting tools data warehouse and supporting technologies and interfaces. You will partner with other members of the BI team to ensure our systems and data support the reporting needs of the broader Career Products organization.

We will count on you to
- Maintain and enhance the BI teams data warehouse and associated interfaces loaders and underlying design.
- Support and manage updates to all underlying technologies in use by the BI team including Cognos (our primary reporting tool) custom-built database jobs and scripts and other tools.
- Manage multiple regular updates to the data warehouse from a range of data sources including GPOS (Career Products product ordering system based on Oracle Financials) several supplementary sales data sources and other supporting information key to producing a range of sales and revenue analyses by the BI reporting team.
- In partnership with other members of the BI team design and implement new interfaces to our warehouse.
- Collaborate with the broader Mercer/MMC technology teams to support our systems and warehouse according to corporate standards. This will include managing outages through the appropriate processes executing system updates managing system and data migrations to updated software and hardware and other as-needed support activities.
- Maintain and extend thorough documentation of all systems data models and other technical specifications necessary to understand and maintain our systems and warehouse.
What you need to have
- Excellent communication both in English and Romanian
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in data warehouse management especially with regard to the effective and efficient management of multiple data sources to ensure fresh and accurate underlying data for use in a wide range of reporting needs.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing SQL queries scripts and jobs. Experience in both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server highly recommended.
- Experience in data modeling techniques and documentation of implemented solutions.
- Experience in software deployments highly recommended.
- Familiarity with data governance security and compliance standards related to enterprise reporting
