Job Summary

**Practice Setting:**

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level III

**Shift Schedule:**

Long-Term Coverage

- Full-Time - Seven Days On/Seven Days Off 12-Hour Shifts (Day or Night)

**Required Neonatal Procedures:**

- Nursery Level III/NICU

- Ventilation Management

- Invasive (Endotracheal Tube) -

Non-Invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)

- Chest Tube Insertion- Exchange Transfusions

- Placement of Umbilical Arterial Catheter (UAC) and Umbilical Venous Catheter (UVC)

- Lumbar Punctures (LP)- Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume and Blood Pressure Issues- Insertion of Central Line- Insertion of Arterial Line- Diagnostic and Therapeutic Taps

**Qualifications:**

- Board Certification in Neonatology and experience as a NICU Physician Assistant is

**required**.- Active New York State License is **required**.

- Candidates must possess experience and demonstrate comfort in managing patients independently which is **required**.

**Certification Requirements:**

- Board Certification

- Compliance with State License Requirements in New York
