We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) specializing in Trauma this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to trauma patients working on challenging and rewarding projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of trauma patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team.
- Perform procedures such as wound care suturing and splinting.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide patient and family education on post-trauma care and recovery.
- Participate in trauma surgeries and emergency interventions.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to protocols guidelines and regulations related to trauma care.
Requirements:
- Valid NP or PA license in the state of practice.
- Certification in Trauma Nursing or Trauma Surgery preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in a trauma center or emergency department.
- Strong knowledge of trauma assessment resuscitation and stabilization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Schedule: 8 or 12-hour shifts
Patient Volume: 10 per day
Cases: Trauma surgery first assist critical care rounding
EMR: Meditech Expanse
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
