JOB SUMMARY
The Trade Support Team Classification Senior Analyst provides EU HTS (European Union Harmonized Tariff System) and EU Dual use/Export Control Number (ECN) classifications of Jabil products and services and will provide information on import duties and license information to all Jabils European sites their business units logistics teams and customs brokers. Carry out internal classification audits internal trainings participate in classification related projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Define HTS and ECN classification of finished goods raw materials and other products
Manage sort partition enter extract or add IM/EX data items into/from the SAP/GTS (Global Trade Services) database into/from an MS Excel spreadsheet tool or other databases as required
Research part and product technical characteristics from other Jabil departments using SAP tools customer or vendor websites general internet searches and other database searches to support IM/EX classifications assigned
Assist and support the Regional & Global Trade Compliance team with performing trade compliance audits reporting and other related regulatory trade compliance responsibilities
Carry out internal training of HTS or ECN classification related topics
Participate in HTS or ECN classification audits and projects
Assist and support the preparation submittal and reporting on the status of license applications binding rulings BTIs and relevant authority communication
Interpret HTS or ECN classification legislation changes
May perform other foreign trade related classification tasks
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in a Customs & Classification Environment.
Working knowledge of the European Union Harmonized Tariff System (TARIC) and working knowledge of the European Union Dual Use Regulations (ECN)
Proficiency in use of personal computers Microsoft Office products (Excel Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
Solid communication skills in English.
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to write and follow complex correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions.
Ability to deal with non-standardized situations.
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions correspondence and memos.
Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to understand basic manufacturing processes (mainly in EMS sector)
-Audits internal processes procedures and documentation are in accordance with Mexican customs regulations.
-Ensures & audits the maquila software (24 & 30 Annex) import and export operation IMMEX program FTA forms PROSEC AEO C-TPAT Fixed assets VAT certification etc.
-Makes action plans with corrective actions (who what and by when will be ready) of all the issues out of the parameter.
-Ensures the correct application of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) the qualification of goods origin and compliance with foreign trade regulations restrictions and obligations. Optimize tax and customs benefits in import and export operations ensuring alignment with current regulations.
-Manage procedures through the VUCEM including automatic notices PROSEC & Regla 8va requests CIVA modification notices among others.
-May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
-Responds to government requests when it will be required.
-Attends the authorities visits.
-Responds to regional trade compliance requests
-Comply and adhere to Internal Department Procedures.
-Participates and promote activities to improve internal controls and requirements related to Trade Compliance duties.

-Bachelors degree in international business international trade or related fields.
-Experience 2-3 years.
-Diploma and/or specialization: preferred un customs and compliance and logistics.
-Knowledge in customs law RGCE TIGIE ANNEX 24 & 30.
-TLCs IMMEX CIVA OEA.
-English 80%
