Salary Range: $20.70 Hourly

Description
The Surgical Technician in Training works under the direct supervision of the precepting surgical technician RN circulating nurse and under the indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge the unit Manager of Surgery and the Director of Surgical Services. The Surgical Technician in Training performs delegated tasks to which he/she has been educationally prepared and demonstrates competence. Scope of practice is defined as those functions limited by law to unlicensed personnel and this job description.

Licenses and Certifications Required:
None
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience Requirements:
Preferred past work experience but not required.
Special Skills or Training Requirements:
Communicates well with others handles stressful situations well and works as an efficient member of the team. Completes probation period satisfactorily.
