Position: Math Teacher Job Status: Full-Time/190 daysClassification: CertifiedClass: Exempt Job Description:Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain professional behavior appearance and work ethic to represent the school district positively at all relentless commitment to the academic achievement of all and maintain an orderly classroom environment in which students actively and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the districts curriculum lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies activities materials and equipment that reflect an understanding of students learning styles and district-approved curriculum based on state frameworks and an assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans (IEP).Work with other staff members to determine instructional goals objectives and methods according to district and supervise assignments of instructional assistant(s) and volunteer(s).Use technology to strengthen the teaching and learning ongoing assessments of student achievement through interim and formative responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned subject and level or the ability to obtain an Arkansas teaching certificate in the assigned subject level.
