Job Description:

Microchips Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industrys most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discrete BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discrete BUs address include: alternative energy industrial medical defense commercial aviation communications embedded systems motor control power solutions sensors and security. Microchip is planning to fill the following position with a talented creative and motivated individual. A generous package is offered to all regular full-time employees. Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Senior Equipment Technician-Calibration. The right candidate will be calibrating the equipment used in the production of semiconductors. Will maintain calibration PM and asset systems or any other duties as directed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Metrology calibration of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to calibrate and perform repairs on test equipment and production equipment.
  • Ability to organize and maintain a calibration system for calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to work from schematics mechanical drawings or written instructions.
  • Ability to interface with auditors.
  • Experience in the use of multimeters oscilloscopes other test equipment for calibration calibration standards soldering irons and mechanical tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO-1725 MIL-453662A desired.
  • Ability to read write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to use MS Office.
  • Ability to interface with parts or service vendors
  • Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics desired.

Benefits of working at Microchip

The hourly pay range for this position which could be performed in Massachusetts is $24.52 - $ 58.35.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location skills and experience.
