Summary of Job Duties:

Develop implement and teach specialized training programs for industry which could include any of the following areas: industrial maintenance theory and practice hydraulics pneumatics motor control industrial electricity programmable logic controllers and other advanced manufacturing functions. Other industrial mechanical electrical or chemical classes could be included depending on experience of chosen applicant.

Assist in coordination of Business and Industry Center classes events and outreach. Deliver training as needed including off-campus offerings with evenings and weekend classes as needed.

Attend training and obtain certifications needed to perform duties.

Responsible for maintaining safety in labs; including tools and equipment.

Collaborate with internal UA-PTC departments external workforce development entities and industry representatives to address current and emerging workforce education needs within the Colleges service area.

Collaborate with the Executive Director of Business and Industry Center and the Director of Workforce Development in relation to strategic planning program implementation marketing efforts and process improvements.

Actively serve on college committees.

Actively participate in community relations events to represent the College.

Aid in selection implementation and utilization of programs determined by industry partners.

Update and maintain lab equipment to industry standards.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;

or

  • One-year related experience and/or training

or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Working knowledge of current industrial and advanced manufacturing theory and practice including hydraulics pneumatics motor drive industrial electricity and/ or PLC and other advanced manufacturing functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applied engineering technologies (industrial mechanical electrical or chemical engineer technologist).

  • Teaching experience
