As Senior Finance Analyst you will participate in month-end GL (general ledger) close and reporting of entitys results. Responsible in the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations review of journal entries and execution of internal control in accordance with Haleon Internal Control with stakeholders and other functions (e.g. P2P O2C Stat & Tax) to ensure successful month-end for the financial reporting of the designated legal entities. Provide guidance and on-the-job trainings to analyst members within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in month-end GL (general ledger) close and reporting of entitys results. Responsible in the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations review of journal entries and execution of internal control in accordance with Haleon Internal Control Framework perform variances analysis.

  • Provide Record to Report support and ensuring delivery quality in terms of accuracy completeness and timeliness and resolve general accounting and reporting issues.

  • Execution of internal controls in accordance with Haleon Internal Control Framework

  • Review of monthly Balance Sheet schedules & reconciliation where required. Liaise with respective stakeholders of Balance Sheet Reconciliations specifically open items.

  • Ensure compliance to Finance Hub policies local company legal and statutory requirements.

  • Ensure stakeholders queries are attended to and resolved in a timely responsible and proactive manner.

  • Support Finance Analyst for general accounting and reporting issues(eg cycle fixed asset payroll etc)

  • Support in the execution of month end close in accordance with month end close checklist

  • Inventory adjustment and reconciliation

  • T&E report

  • Preparation of accrual and provision

  • Follow up with shoppers on Open PO

• Collaborate with stakeholders (eg Finance Business Partner/ Sales and Marketing team etc) and other functions (e.g. P2P O2C Stat & Tax) to ensure successful month-end close.

• Responsible for the financial reporting of the designated legal entities.

  • Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet cost center checks and transaction posting checks. The incumbent has to be knowledgeable on the principal activities of each designated legal entity.

  • Any other financial reports which may be required

• Provide guidance and on-the-job trainings to analyst members within the team. Support new and existing team members through proper knowledge transfer; sharing of resource knowledge and experience and best practice thereby ensuring quality is maintained through any staff transition.

• Work with Global Process Owner or Process Improvement Experts (PIEs) to standardize close and control activities Update changes to LSOPs and/ or work instructions documentation when required. Assist in the preparation of training materials when required.

• Other ad-hoc activities:

  • Support dividend payment process and related cashflow analysis/ projection

  • Participate in any compliance audits and respond to audit queries.

  • Such other tasks as BSC management and changing business environment may require to be performed.

Ideally we are looking for someone with:

• Degree with Finance / Accounting

• Minimum experience of 4-5 years of general ledger and financial reporting experience including areas on financial accounting reporting and statutory filing master data maintenance treasury asset accounting inter-company transactions etc.

• Experience in working in commercial and shared service center in financial accounting or mixture with auditing experiences.

• SAP experience is must/preferred.

• Actively seeks to improve processes making them more effective and efficient.

• Must be fluent in English and Mandarin both written and spoken

• Attention to detail good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to plan and manage workload to ensure all key deadlines is met.
