Mars Horsecare- Dalton OH is looking for a Utility Operator!

Required Shift:
Monday- Friday 7am- 3pm (flexible pending business needs)
Job Purpose:
The Utility Operator provides flexible coverage across multiple production roles at our manufacturing site ensuring safe high-quality and efficient operations. This role requires training and competency in various operator positions adaptability to changing daily assignments.
What are we looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a mechanical related role
- Hands on Fork lift experience
- Basic computer skills (Ex: MS Office)
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-100 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-2000 lbs)
- Frequent bending stooping twisting handling and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights climb stairs lean over equipment and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods with shifts lasting 12 hours
- Capable of working in hot cold and wet conditions
- Proficient in understanding communicating reading and writing in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in related field
- Forklift Certification
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Animal feed or food production experience
What will be your key responsibilities
- Operate all areas of the plant and ensure safe efficient and quality production.
- Utilize forklifts to transport production throughout the production floor and warehouses.
- Ensure all work meets Quality and Food Safety standards.
- Follow all safety practices procedures and trainings consistently.
- Assist with sanitation and preventive maintenance (PM) of each department
- Provide reliable coverage as needed across departments
- Any ad hoc requests
