Job Summary

Overview:


Responsible for operational oversight of cytometry components in the Immunology Core; instrument operation/oversight; study consultation; data analyses/interpretation budget/billing management technology/protocols development. Collaborate with Immune Monitoring Manager to balance workflow/workloads. Preferred: Experience in multiparameter cytometry sorting and other spectral analyses self-motivated detail oriented able to multitask ability to alternate between being a leader and individual contributor advanced knowledge of flow cytometry instrument setting and compensation optimization and acquisition template building; ability to complete responsibilities in a timely manner 4 years experience including operation QC and preventative maintenance of flow cytometry equipment.

Oversees the daily operations of the facility and the supervision of technical staff. Coordinates and manages research projects including planning implementation and evaluation to ensure successful outcomes.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates and manages research programs and projects in accordance with established policies and procedures. Manages subcontracts and collaboration with other sites.
  • Develops and implements program goals objectives and operating procedures to ensure program success. Implements the use of new technologies.
  • Manages program budgets and resources ensuring compliance with funding requirements and regulations.
  • Prepares and presents reports on program activities outcomes and impact to stakeholders.
  • Monitors and evaluates program performance leading quality and process improvement projects as needed.
  • Coordinates the supervision and performance of technical staff. Ensures site safety compliance and audit inspection readiness.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Masters Degree or PhD preferred.

Must have strong organizational skills.


Experience:

  • Two years of research experience required.
  • Preclinical research with an emphasis on immune based assays or advanced cytometry experience preferred.
