Summary:The School-Based BCBA provides leadership in the design implementation and supervision of behavior intervention services for students with behavioral and developmental challenges. Working collaboratively with educators families and related service providers the BCBA develops evidence-based behavior support plans conducts functional behavior assessments and promotes positive behavior strategies to support student success across educational settings. The BCBA also supervises mentors and evaluates district-based Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and serves as a district-based trainer for Safety Care and de-escalation techniques. The BCBA provides training and consultation to staff and families to foster inclusive and supportive learning and Responsibilities:Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and analyze data to identify functions of behavior and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).Design implement and monitor evidence-based behavior interventions aligned with student IEP goals and direct and consultative services to students across preschool elementary secondary and transition programs (up to age 22).Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including special educators speech therapists occupational therapists psychologists administrators and in the team-based IEP process where appropriate to support development implementation and monitoring of behavioral goals and mentor and evaluate district-based Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) including assigning responsibilities monitoring performance providing feedback and facilitating ongoing professional as a district-based trainer for Safety Care and de-escalation techniques providing staff training and support to ensure safe and effective behavior management professional development and coaching to school staff on behavior management techniques positive behavior support and data collection review and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and adjust interventions as crisis prevention and intervention strategies consistent with district policies and best compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education and applied behavior in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and ethical standards in behavior and education.
