Job Summary
Ask & Embla is seeking a Product Design Intern to join their team and gain hands-on experience with jewelry design and development. This hands-on role involves research sketching new concepts and utilizing CAD software to create technical drawings and 3D printed mockups.
What Youll Do:
- Assist with design research trend analysis and mood board and tech pack creation.
- Sketch and develop new jewelry concepts aligned with brand identity and target audience.
- Learn and utilize basic CAD software for jewelry design (e.g. Rhino ZBrush).
- Assist with creating design mockups with 3D printing process.
- Assist with creating technical drawings and specifications for production.
- Participate in product development meetings and provide design input.
- Conduct research on materials designs and manufacturing processes for jewelry.
- Support administrative functions in the Product Design and Development team.
- Take part in building up decks/records (such as compilation work for materials)
Who You Are:
- An undergraduate or fresh graduate in a product design industrial design or any relevant course.
- Must have a creative eye and be skilled in sketching to develop new concepts.
- Must be willing to learn and use CAD software (e.g. Rhino ZBrush) and have basic understanding of the 3D printing process.
- With strong research skills to investigate materials designs and manufacturing processes.
- A team player who can participate in meetings and assist with various administrative tasks and documentation.
