The role

The Senior Analyst will work closely with data to help shape smarter decisions around housing and strategic planning. That means designing and maintaining ETL workflows building spatial visualisations and pulling together insights from multiple sources to support briefings reports and policy advice. This will also make sure those insights land wellwhether thats through clear presentations or helping stakeholders see the bigger picture.

You will constantly review data models and refine methodologies as new sources come online. Staying across the latest trends in planning legislation and tech is key especially when it comes to making the most of our data and driving continuous improvement across the team.

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven ability to apply advanced statistical and forecasting techniques to extract meaningful insights that inform strategic planning and housing policy.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and manipulation using Excel
  • Experience designing and implementing ETL workflows to integrate new data sources in tools such as FME and Alteryx
  • Proficient in GIS applications such as ArcGIS with a focus on spatial data visualisation to support planning decisions.
  • Experienced in using visualisation tools including Power BI to deliver clear stakeholder-ready reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of planning frameworks legislation and policy trends with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

What is an essential requirement

Degree qualification or higher qualification in one or more of the following areas: planning geography statistics economics data science demography science business or other relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience with a specialisation in one of these areas.
