Job Description

The IT Program Manager is a strategic and thought leadership position that partners with business unit and IT leadership to define and execute a portfolio of projects that advance Seattle Childrens Hospitals (SCH) strategic objectives. This position works closely with business unit leadership to understand their strategic plans and identify prioritize select and execute projects that provide maximum business value for the investment. The Program Manager partners with assigned IT Directors architects and key technical staff to define critical services that are aligned with SCs department needs and help to manage these services through their lifecycle. This position is a resource to business unit leadership to help them assess and plan; technology trends technology investments and budgets organizational efficiency and change efforts resource and staffing needs etc.

The Program Manager oversees the execution of a portfolio of projects from ideation to closure. The Program Manager is accountable to ensure that all projects in the portfolio meet defined project success criteria and deliver services within the agreed to time and budget. They are responsible to develop project leadership staffing plans lead recruiting and hiring efforts and mentor and manage a team of project managers and analysts. The Program Manager proactively works with project managers to resolve issues remove barriers manage changes manage and mitigate risks solve complex problems address resource concerns and escalate appropriately when needed.

The Program Manager is a leader in the project management community and assists on the development and maturity of SCs project management methodology governance and capability. They proactively work to promote project management standards efficiency best practices and continuous improvement to achieve agreed to project execution performance targets. The Program Manager is a project management subject matter expert champion and advocate in a number of forums. They are an engaged member of IT leadership to help define and advance ITs strategic objectives and identify and remover barrier to improvement.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Industrial Engineering Computer Science OR equivalent combination of education/experience that demonstrates competency.A minimum of ten (10) years project leadership experience using proven methodologies for applications and infrastructure projects.A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing large programs or project -depth knowledge and extensive practical experience with project management methodologies including PMBOK and Agile representing PMO or IS Department management in meetings with executive-level project or program stakeholders.

Preferred
MS or (5) years of experience in healthcare information services.

Compensation Range

$129992.00 - $194988.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
