Grid Connection Manager
Overview
Were partnering with a leading global renewable energy developer to find an experienced Grid Connection Manager whos passionate about enabling large-scale solar wind battery and hydrogen projects to connect seamlessly to the grid.
This organisation is driving one of the most ambitious multi-energy portfolios in the countryover 10 GW of renewable capacity in developmentfocused on delivering the lowest-cost energy for green hydrogen production and industrial decarbonisation.

Your Role
As Grid Connection Manager youll lead technical engagements and grid studies working closely with consultants OEMs network service providers and AEMO. Youll be instrumental in navigating the grid connection process and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead grid connection studies for solar wind battery and hydrogen projects.
- Solve complex grid-related challenges and manage stakeholder communications.
- Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory consultations.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering development and EPC teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
About You
Youre a seasoned electrical engineer with deep experience in the Australian power industry and a passion for renewables. You thrive in collaborative environments and bring a strategic mindset to grid connection and power system engineering.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 810 years experience in grid connection for renewable energy projects.
- Proficiency in simulation tools (PSSE PSCAD PowerFactory).
- Strong understanding of National Electricity Rules and NEM connection processes.
- Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally and work with global teams.
