Job Description Summary:
As the Senior Manager Finance - FP&A at Caterpillar Brazil (CBL) located in Campo Largo/PR you will have the opportunity to develop essential business information and provide counsel to management for all business analysis product costing and return on investment activities as well as supporting the business related to the Legal Entity Treasury and Tax addition you will provide analysis and interpretation of the financial condition of the facility and various product lines.
What you will do:
- Guiding the facilitys annual business plan monthly rolling business management long term forecast and volume flexibility planning.
- Responsible for facilitys monthly accounting and financial reporting.
- Providing business analysis support by establishing target costs cost monitoring value chain analysis investment analysis sourcing analysis product costing and supporting worldwide new product introduction and new sourcing introduction projects.
- Managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting and providing analysis of business statements to assist managers in managing costs operations areas.
- Participating in strategy development to improve OPACC (Operating Profit after Capital Charge) results and govern OPACC Improvement Agenda.
- Providing governance for Brazilian incentive programs for both domestic and international sales national content and Mark-up Over Total Cost (MOTC) calculations and compliance with all related government and tax rules.
- Providing analysis and leading discussion on all service charges (inbound and outbound) from internal Caterpillar partner organization.
- Managing and coordinating the development of accounting related functions for the Business Units including actual and planned operational metrics period cost reporting and inventory analysis.
- Ensure the thorough accurate and timely closing process and reports for the organization including the management of the closing activities related to Legal Entity Accounting and Tax Fillings.
- Analyze and interpret financial information for planning and control purposes.
- Lead strategic initiatives related to tax processes related to Parana State aligned with corporate governance.
- Provide decision support and analysis to the Operations Engineering and NPI teams supporting Building Construction Products build in Brazil.
Skills:

Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results.
Basic requirements:
- Bachelors degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
- Extensive experience with increasing responsibility in Accounting or Finance-related roles
- Prior leadership experience
- Pre-Advanced English
Top candidates will also have:
- This position requires a strong background in financial accounting reporting and analysis cost accounting and budget development.
- Knowledge of the Caterpillar organization its products policies and procedures is also desired.
- It is strongly preferred that the incumbent has credentialed expertise (CPA CMA or local equivalent) and solid practical experience involving technical accounting and reporting issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues develop others or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific action.
- Strong presentation skills
- Advanced English
