Job Description

Vishay Precision Group is seeking a Microelectronic R&D Technician to ensure the quality and accuracy of products for our customers.

This position is located in Wendell NC.

The Microelectronic R&D Technician will perform testing on strain gages and rolled foil products to ensure ongoing quality acceptance. The role also supports less routine R&D or process improvement testing. Key tasks involve soldering working under a microscope for extended periods and handling adhesives and chemicals with precision.

Responsibilities:

  • Run thermal testing on gages including soldering bonding and operating test equipment.
  • Conduct mechanical and sensitivity testing on gages.
  • Perform special testing of gages and adhesive systems; support other R&D or process improvement tests as needed.
  • Support inspection data collection and calibration of equipment; complete other tasks as required.

Requirements :

High School Diploma or relevant experience

2 5 years in a manufacturing or product testing environment

Required: Soldering experience

Preferred experience in a lab experience

Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping

Strong attention to detail and precision

Well-organized with adherence to procedures

Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods
