Job Description
Our client is a rapidly growing Aggregator / iGaming hub looking for a Sr Cloud Engineer to join their Malta Ops.
Salary idea 68-82K depending on experience.
Infrastructure & Automation
- Collaborate with engineers to design implement and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS using tools like Kubernetes Crossplane and ArgoCD.
- Champion best practices in GitOps and Infrastructure as Code promoting secure and consistent environments.
- Work with the team to optimize systems for scalability cost-efficiency and operational reliability.
Incident Management & Operations
- Implement monitoring logging and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus Grafana Alloy and others.
- Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis helping continuously improve system stability.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence.
CI/CD & Developer Experience
- Build and refine robust CI/CD pipelines that support rapid safe deployments for multiple products.
- Ensure smooth developer workflows by providing easy-to-use tooling and environments that reduce friction.
- Support blue/green and canary deployment strategies to improve release confidence.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work alongside developers and stakeholders to align infrastructure evolution with product needs.
- Take ownership of platform reliability and delivery tooling.
- Help improve documentation automation and internal processes to enhance team efficiency.
Education and Experience Required:
- Relevant formal education in Computer Science IT or Engineering
- 7 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure SRE or DevOps roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (ideally Crossplane ArgoCD).
- Strong background in cnfrastructure as code e.g. Terraform and CI/CD systems
- Experience supporting production systems in performance-critical 24/7 environments
- Proficient in Linux systems networking and cloud security best practices
- Skilled in scripting or programming e.g. Python/Go/Bash
- Familiarity with secrets management policy enforcement and service discovery
- Understanding of compliance and security practices even without dedicated InfoSec functions
