This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of IAC as described below:
General Job Duties:

Participate and support all lean continuous improvement programs initiatives and activities.
Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work according to 5s standards.
Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios PA System and/or phone business use only.
Maintain professionalism when representing the company.

Specific Job Duties:
Ability to efficiently Troubleshoot Mechanical Electrical and Controls Downtime Events without compromising Safety. This includes MES/PLC Communication Systems.
Implement modify and continuously improve existing controls systems including and not limited to robotic programs PLC (ladder logic) relay logic electrical distribution motor controls multiple operator interfaces hydraulics and pneumatics distribution control.
Ability to read Electrical Schematics
Knowledge of machine and plant networking solutions including Basic LAN knowledge and functionality (TCP/IP)
Knowledge of the integration of barcode scanners/cameras into PLC control systems.
Work with Equipment Vendors on new and existing equipment to verify conformance to IAC Standards
Integrate assembly verification/poke yoke systems into existing equipment.
Identify and Implement cost reduction opportunities.
Update TPM System with work performed TTF and MTBF Tracking.
Establish machine process parameters on new tools/machines as well as make process adjustments within process tolerance on existing tools/machines. Take an active role in Continuing Improvement Initiatives
Continually monitor all processes related to machinery to ensure equipment is running at optimal efficiency (Jenoptik laser cutting Urethane (soft foam molding) Waterjet Vacform Vibration welders secondary equipment punch press paint line Fanuc and ABB robotics sonic welder etc.)
Participate in trouble shooting processing issues related to tooling equipment and environmental factors (temp/humidity).
Assist in the set-up and start-up of new tools new equipment and resins for trial
Assist with the set-up and maintenance of other equipment as required. Including but not limited waterjet vac form vibration welders secondary equipment punch press paint line robotics sonic welder etc.
Assist machine operators and maintenance as required to troubleshoot
Responsible to regularly monitor parts produced conform to quality requirements. Typical requirements are communicated in QOS documents such as; Process Monitoring Sheets 1st piece ok PFMEA and Control Plan
Skills Requirement:
Basic AD knowledge (disable users change passwords)
Installing / troubleshooting label printers and hand held scanners
Backup exec (or similar software)
Ability to work on teams or alone
Works with a sense of urgency
Education Requirements
(4) four-year degree in Engineering or related field
Experience Requirements:
Proactive and strong interpersonal skills
Desire to work in a fast pace and challenging role
Successful candidates will also possess strong judgment /decision making skills problem solving and communication skills.
Strong analytic problem solving skills
Five or more year experience in engineering or manufacturing
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Able to learn multiple software packages as required
Able to read and update electrical schematic drawings
Able to work well with others and serve as a mentor to the electrical team
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and systems involving Urethane reaction injection molding Rotational dry cast cells Vacuum forming Paint cells Laser scoring water jets sonic and vibration welding and others.
Experience in RSLogixFactory Talk View Mitsubishi Siemens and Omron PLC/HMI systems.
Industrial protocols such as Ethernet Profibus RS-232 Devicenet DH.
Strong deductive reasoning/problem solving skills.
Visual Basic or other software design is a plus.
AutoCAD design software.
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint SQL/Access.
Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Training Requirements:
This position will be required to travel to other facilities or training locations as well as on-site training as needed.
PPE Requirements:
This position requires the use of eye protection and hearing protection and any PPE specific to the task being performed.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand on feet and/or sit 8-12 hours a day and lift up to 40lbs on an occasional basis and 15 lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to perform overhead work as well as work below the waist.
