Job Description
- Deliver direct patient care in ICU and PCU settings utilizing evidence-based nursing practices.
- Monitor and interpret patient vitals and telemetry to make critical decisions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and adjust individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis treatment and care plans.
- Document patient assessments interventions and outcomes accurately and timely in EPIC EMR.
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition initiating appropriate interventions.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in code situations and emergency response as needed.
Education:
- ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) required.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
Licensure & Certifications:
- Massachusetts RN License current and active (required).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA certified (required).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) AHA certified (required).
Experience:
- 2 5 years of recent ICU experience required.
- Trauma Level experience highly preferred.
- May consider candidates with strong Trauma Level II experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
- EPIC EMR experience required.
