Radiologic Technologist (Permanent Role) Location: San Angelo TX 76903
Shift: 10-hr Days Tuesday-Friday
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic radiology procedures ensure patient safety and comfort and contribute to the overall efficiency of the imaging department.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform high-quality radiologic procedures according to exam protocols in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain imaging standards and procedure quality by following set guidelines and operational protocols.
- Understand and monitor radiation dose reference levels; take necessary actions if estimated doses exceed safe limits.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients using AIDET principles (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You).
- Prepare patients for procedures by positioning setting up equipment and ensuring all immobilization and safety measures are in place.
- Educate and guide patients and their families on the imaging process and assess their ability to undergo procedures.
- Follow infection control and radiation safety policies to protect both patients and staff.
- Use sterile techniques during invasive procedures and ensure proper hand hygiene at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and workspaces; report malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with engineers and medical physicists to ensure optimal performance of imaging equipment.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of necessary supplies.

- Ability to operate independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

- Ongoing development and knowledge of patient care across all age groups (newborn to geriatric).
- Capability to mentor and train new team members and support new service initiatives.
Requirements:
- Certification/License:
- ARRT-R Radiography certification (Required)
- State licensure as required by Texas
- Experience:
