Job Summary

MS/Tele FLOAT (Contract Role)

Location: Watertown NY 13601

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-Hour Night 7p-7a

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Weekly Pay Rate: $2160 - $2304; (Negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in both Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond to changes in patient cardiac rhythms
Conduct thorough patient assessments monitor vitals and document findings in Meditech
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely per provider orders
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on disease processes treatments discharge instructions and health maintenance
Float between assigned units based on hospital needs while maintaining continuity of care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing actions and patient responses
Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols

Requirements:

Licensure:
- Active NY State RN license (must be current)
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Required
Experience:
- Minimum 1 completed and successful travel assignment required
- Meditech EMR experience required
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Skills:

Strong clinical knowledge in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
Excellent interpersonal organizational and written and verbal communication skills required.
Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good creative problem-solving skills.
