Job Summary

Senior BI Developer

Job Description: Are you an expert Power BI Developer ready to make a significant impact in business intelligence Bayer IT is seeking a dedicated professional to join our innovative Data Assets Analytics and AI this critical role you will collaborate with our data and analytics team to design develop and maintain reusable semantic models while adhering to modeling best practices. You will leverage the strengths of Lakehouse backends implement row-level security and consider operational constraints.

Additionally you will create and manage interactive dashboards and visualizations using the latest Power BI features ensuring end-to-end functionality of the solutions you develop. This position offers exceptional opportunities for professional growth in data visualization and analytics. We are looking for a candidate well-versed in data visualization best practices who can effectively partner with our Product Manager throughout the analytics solution development process.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Build maintain and operate re-usable semantic models and DAX measures to support reporting needs.
Engage with data architects to ensure data is properly prepared and integrated in the Backend for consumption in PowerBI.
Design develop and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards that provide actionable insights.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs metrics and calculations that align with business objectives.
Ensure data model stability and optimize data model performance for end-users.
Troubleshoot issues related to data integrity DAX logic and report rendering.
Document technical specifications and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
Perform PBI user trainings to build PBI capability and drive Self-service analytics in our organization.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Power BI Developer. Tableau is a plus.
Strong expertise in DAX Power Query and data modelling techniques also composite models.
Experience working with Databricks Snowflake and SQL databases.
Familiarity with Finance Supply Chain or Commercial domains is a significant advantage.
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills (minimum B2 level).
Proficient in software development and data analytics principles.
Ability to implement row-level data security and knowledge of Power BI application security models.
Excellent analytical thinking skills for converting data into relevant reports and visualizations.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Familiarity with techniques for optimizing report performance and load times.
