Senior Youth Worker (Youth Voice Alternative Provision )

JNC Professional Range

Permanent Working 36.5 hours per week.

You will based at Maypole Youth Centre but will have a city wide brief.

Are you passionate about ensuring young people haveopportunities to reach their potential Birmingham City Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Youth worker (SYW) to join Birmingham Youth Service Children and Families this pivotal role you will support the delivery of youth work within Alternative Provision settings. If you are a proactive leader with a commitment to improving the youth voice for young people we want to hear from you!

Your role will involve developing partnerships with Alternative Provision settings ensuring that their most vulnerable young epople received the tailored support they need from the youth service.

In this role you will work collaboratively with other (SYW) as well as stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people. You will contribute to the planning and performance management across the delivery team and inspire and motivate the best provision to young people.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level in Youth work with a JNC qualification. You should have a strong understanding of relevant policies practices and national frameworks along with excellent organisational communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure is essential.
