This is a Level 3 position. However if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment. The incumbent will work towards meeting the criteria for Level 3.

Manning Mental Health Service is a dynamic and multidisciplinary service offering high-quality evidence-based care across Care Coordination Rehabilitation Intake and Acute Care Teams. We operate as an acute outpatient mental health service providing consultation assessment treatment and follow-up care to adults and their families throughout the Lower Mid North Coast community. Our model of care is recovery-oriented trauma-informed and grounded in partnerships with consumers carers and the community.
About the role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver comprehensive clinical occupational and rehabilitation assessments and interventions across a community setting including a residential mental health rehabilitation program for consumers with complex clinical presentations.
In this role you will provide client-centred care that enables individuals to achieve functional independence develop social empowerment and engage in meaningful occupational activities that enrich their daily lives.
You will receive a comprehensive mental health service orientation along with ongoing in-service education and encouragement to participate in relevant internal and external training. Support is available from an experienced Rehabilitation Coordinator Service Manager and a committed team who share a focus on quality care and recovery.
About you:
We are looking for a passionate mental health professional who demonstrates knowledge and experience in contemporary mental health practice including trauma-informed care and shared care models. You will bring a strong understanding of mental health rehabilitation and its role in supporting recovery for individuals and families.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to build and maintain therapeutic and professional relationships with consumers carers and key stakeholders. Youll have well-developed communication interpersonal and conflict resolution skills along with the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal outcomes for consumers and their families or carers.
