Job Description
Job Title: FileMaker Cloud Migration Specialist
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Key Responsibilities:
Phase 1 Recover Admin-Level Access to FileMaker Server:
- Gain administrative-level access to the Agencys on-premise FileMaker Server v13 instance.
- Create a new set of administrative-level credentials for the Agency.
- Create two local backups of the existing FileMaker database.
Phase 2 Create New Database in FileMaker Cloud:
- Create a new unpopulated database on FileMaker Cloud duplicating the structure and functionality of the existing on-premise database.
Phase 3 Transfer On-Premise Database to FileMaker Cloud:
- Verify readiness of the on-premise database copy for upload.
- Remediate any pre-upload issues if necessary.
- Upload the database copy to FileMaker Cloud.
- Verify cloud database functionality and accuracy including:
- Ensuring all records have successfully uploaded.
- Ensuring all record data fields function properly.
- Selecting at least 350 nonsequential records and comparing them to the on-premise database to confirm proper population.
- Certifying accuracy and full functionality to the Agency.
Deliverables:
- One set of functional FileMaker Server administrator-level credentials.
- Two backup copies of the on-premise FileMaker database.
- New FileMaker Cloud database identical in structure and function to the on-premise database.
- Populated and fully functional FileMaker Cloud database.
- Certification that all database records have successfully transferred.
- Certification that all record data fields function properly.
- Report on testing of 350 nonsequential records.
- Final certification of accurate and fully functional cloud database.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience recovering FileMaker Server access.
- Hands-on experience with FileMaker Server and FileMaker Cloud.
- Experience transferring on-premise FileMaker databases to FileMaker Cloud.
- Strong attention to detail to verify data accuracy and database functionality.
- Ability to troubleshoot and remediate issues during migration.
- Effective communication skills for reporting and certification tasks.
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The selected individual shall have experience in recovering administrative access to FileMaker Server v13 or a similar on-premise FileMaker Server version experience in preparing and successfully transferring an on-premise FileMaker database to FileMaker Cloud and experience in working with the Claris cloud platform
