Job Description
- Management and development of new projects once data collection research and analysis are executed; active research to design new projects and to prepare and present new ideas to improve current processes which impact the business; researching collecting and analysing data for the strategic decision-making process in new project developments.
- Bachelor Degree in applicable profession business or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Possesses five to seven years of experience.
- Lead all Transmission line structural engineering tasks related to lattice towers (Structure and Foundation) in complex transmission line projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert in PLS Tower analysis and/or modeling of existing and new lattice tower structures following ASCE and Client standard and specifications.
- Act as a subject matter expert in design or review of new or existing Transmission line foundations (Drilled concrete shaft direct embed Micro pile and Grillage) using FAD Tools hand calcs or similar programs.
- Perform Transmission line structural Load calculations based on NESC California General Order 95 or other applicable codes and resources.
- Lead construction administration efforts including coordination with field personnel to resolve design-related construction issues support emergency restorations (wildfire storm and other incidents) and field inspections.
- Prepare engineering mitigation reports for damaged Transmission line lattice towers and damaged footings.
- Provide leadership guidance and instruction to Clients transmission engineering practice mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
- Build effective relationships with other responsible entities in our organization.
- Responsible for QA/QC process adherence compliance with company and site safety policies.
- California Civil PE License required (Structural preferred)
- Bachelors (or Masters) degree in Civil (Structural) engineering
- Minimum of 7 years experience in the Transmission line engineering field
- PLS TOWER (PLS CADD) FAD TOOLS
- Minimum of 7 years experience in the Transmission line engineering field
- State SE (Structural) preferred.
