Job Description
Our client a respected and expanding organization is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team. As a strategic partner you will help guide the financial direction of the company while working closely with a collaborative finance team. This permanent role is perfect for a detail-focused professional and offers the flexibility to be based in either the Dartmouth NS or Saint John NB office.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly variance reports incorporating financial and operational metrics
- Contribute to the annual budget process by creating templates uploading files updating models and building presentations
- Act as a finance business partner supporting departments financial analysis and planning
- Load and manage data for planning and budgeting purposes
- Build financial models and visualizations
- Support ad hoc financial analysis
- Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Post-secondary education in Finance Accounting or other related field
- FP&A certification is considered an asset but not required
- 5 years of relevant and progressive relevant experience
- Proven experience in financial planning budgeting and analysis
- Ability to work with large complex data sets and distil down to key insights or actions
- Excellent organizational problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a fast-paced environment
