Job Summary
Overview
| The Pharmacy Technician Patient Advocate Specialist III assists patients and providers in completing benefits investigations enrolling patients in manufacturer assistance programs. Working under limited supervision they specialize in a clinical service to ensure patient medication access. |
Responsibilities
| Performs benefits investigations for specialized clinical service area. Obtains insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications. Coordinates with manufacturer assistance programs for under/uninsured patients. Acts as a liaison between the patient clinic and/or infusion center pharmacy third party payor and/or drug manufacturer. Works collaboratively with clinical pharmacists and care team. Delivers quality customer service to every patient. Performs other duties as assigned. |
Qualifications
| EDUCATION: |
| Required: High School Diploma or equivalent |
| EXPERIENCE: |
| Required: 5 years |
| LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
| Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an advanced pharmacy technician certification within 12 months of starting the role. |
