About the Role
We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining dynamic web applications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coding problem-solving and delivering high-quality solutions while working closely with our IT and development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop test and maintain web applications using PHP and related technologies.
- Write clean scalable and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with designers front-end developers and other stakeholders to deliver seamless solutions.
- Maintain and optimize relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Troubleshoot debug and upgrade existing systems.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for system integrations.
- Ensure web security best practices are applied across applications.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science IT or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a PHP Developer.
- Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel CodeIgniter Symfony).
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript jQuery).
- Experience working with relational databases (MySQL PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Experience with cloud hosting environments like AWS Azure or DigitalOcean.
- Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
