JOB OPPORTUNITY

The City of Berkeley is now accepting applications for the position of Mental Health Program Supervisor! In this leadership role you will play a key part in program planning development implementation and evaluation. The Mental Health Program Supervisor oversees a team of mental health professionals paraprofessionals and clerical staff who deliver vital mental health services across a variety of community settings throughout the City of Berkeley.

The current available position will provide leadership and management of Berkeley Mental Healths Compliance Unit Wellness Program and Family Advocacy. This position acts a liaison between Berkeley Mental Health and Alameda County and is responsible for all aspects of Compliance including policy/procedure trainings documentation audits billing grievances data collection and reports consumer perception surveys Wellness activities and other related duties.

A typical way of gaining the knowledge skills and abilities for this position is:
Equivalent to possession of a related Masters degree and three (3) years of increasingly responsible clinical experience as a clinician or program administrator of which a substantial part must have been in the same specialty area as the program opening. Experience must have included clinical supervision and consultation in a mental health setting with a multi disciplinary staff.

Must possess a valid California license as a Clinical Psychologist Clinical Social Worker Psychiatric Nurse Physician or a Marriage Family and Child Counselor. Must possess a valid California drivers license and have a satisfactory driving record.

Tests may consist of any combination of written oral or other exercises or assessment procedures that test content and may include but are not necessarily limited to typing math reading writing and analytical skills; problem solving ability; computer and software proficiency or any other job-related knowledge skill ability or qualification.The examination process and datesare subject to change.
