Job Summary

We are recruiting for Kitchen Steward for the National Portrait Gallery Canberra.

About the Role

Work alongside the chef assisting with food preparation
Ensure that the kitchen storage areas fridge and freezers are a high level of cleanliness
Cleaning of all kitchen equipment utensils and kitchen surrounds
Casual position

Essential Requirements

1 year prior experience in a kitchen environment with knowledge of food hygiene
Previous experience in food preparation and cleaning is essential
Self-driven and autonomous whilst being open to direction
Personable well presented enthusiastic and reliable
Hard working physically fit and reliable able to lift 10-15kgs comfortably
Have excellent communication skills
Can do attitude and willingness to learn
Available to start on the 4th October

Rates: M-F : $32.31/hr Sat:$38.78/hr Sun:$45.24
