Ellsworth Corporation a global industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a Machine Operator opportunity at TapeCase. This role reports into our TapeCase Division located in Elk Grove Village IL.
At TapeCase we design convert manufacture and distribute highly engineered adhesive tape products. We add value to the highly engineered products we sell by enhancing their delivered formats by offering expansive tape converting services to provide a custom tape solution for nearly any application. You will set up and safely operate advanced production machinery. Lead complex machine setup quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates a variety of advanced production machinery
- Sets up complex machines
- Leads training other operators
- Performs regular inspections of machine operations and troubleshoots minor and possibly advanced issues
- Operates overhead crane and forklifts for machine setup and changeovers
- Dispense molten adhesives onto paper lines during the production process
- Safely operates required power and hand tools

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of production experience. 3 years of production work experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of job experience and education may be considered.
- Forklift certification is required within 3 months of hire
- Demonstrated ability to be a subject matter expert on production machines continuous improvement preventative maintenance and quality assurance preferred
- Ability to read
- Basic Math
- Ability to learn how to operate machinery
- Experienced in preventive maintenance for machinery preferred
- The pay range targeting a minimum of $20-$23/hour will be commensurate with applicable years of relevant work experience
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
