Application Engineer / Pre-sales Engineer
Location: Schaumburg IL
Salary Range: $90000 - $110000
Employment Type: Full-Time
Application Engineer / Pre-sales Engineer required to join a global manufacturer of CNC machine tools.
Application Engineer / Pre-sales Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop and implement complete manufacturing solutions including CNC programming tooling and fixturing to meet strict quality timing and production goals.
- Deliver expert technical support and training to distributors key accounts and internal teams on programming processes and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Design and execute demonstrations and presentations showcasing new technologies products and programming techniques to both internal and external audiences.
- Lead pre-sales efforts by assessing customer needs evaluating machinery and processes and preparing customised turnkey proposals and recommendations.
- Support the full sales cycle by conducting site visits product demonstrations time studies and project updates while representing the company at trade shows open houses and special events.
Application Engineer / Pre-sales Engineer Requirements
- Ideally have prior experience as an Application Engineer working with CNC machine tools.
- Ability to use both G & M code programming.
- Previous experience using Siemens CNC controls would be advantageous.
- Knowledgeable of different CAD/CAM software ideally Siemens NX or Mastercam however we are open to applications from people who have used different CAD/CAM.
- Live within a commutable distance to the main office near Schaumburg IL.
