Job Description
PLC Technician
Pay:$28/hour
Location:Catoosa
Shift:4 days on / 4 days off day and night shifts available (assigned by supervisor upon hire)
Job Type:Temp to Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilledPLC Technicianto support automation systems at our Catoosa facility. ThePLC Technicianwill be responsible for programming troubleshooting and maintaining Siemens PLC platforms to ensure optimal performance of automated machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
5 yearsin a manufacturing environment as an Industrial Mechanic Tech
High school diploma or GED preferred; technical school certification preferred
Proven experience withSiemens PLC platforms (TIA Portal and Step7)
Strong knowledge ofindustrial automation control systems and electrical troubleshooting
Ability toread and interpret ladder logic schematics and technical documentation
Familiarity withHMI interfaces sensors actuators and industrial networking
Strongproblem-solving and communication skills
Technical certification or vocational training inelectrical or automation systemspreferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Program modify and troubleshootPLC systemsusing Siemens TIA Portal and Step7
Diagnose and resolveelectrical and control system issuesin automated equipment
Performroutine maintenance and updateson PLC-controlled systems
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams onprocess improvements
Maintain accuraterecords of programming changes and system configurations
Providetechnical support and trainingto staff on PLC operation and safety
Operate rigging equipment align gears/shafts and connect motors as needed
Service and repairhydraulic and pneumatic systems
Follow OSHA and companysafety policiesin all tasks as aPLC Technician
Preferred Education
Technical certification inelectrical PLC programming or automation systems
