Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Red Bank NJ 07701
Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:30 PM varied 10-hour shifts (including overnights as needed)
Duration: 3 Months
Pay: $55/hr (local) $64/hr (travel)
Responsibilities
Perform portable ultrasound exams across assigned areas.
Carry out complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to detect anatomical abnormalities (masses abscesses stones etc.).
Assist physicians with biopsies deep abdominal studies and color-flow ultrasound when required.
Prepare medical supplies instruments and equipment for procedures.
Explain and prepare patients for diagnostic procedures; position patients appropriately for accurate imaging.
Evaluate the technical quality of images and process images according to standards.
Maintain ultrasound records archive/de-archive data and document results in patient charts.
Clean calibrate and perform routine maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
Ensure instruments supplies and equipment are cleaned sterilized and properly stocked.
Provide technical guidance to students employees and medical residents.
Adhere to safety policies infection control and departmental standards.
Support patient-centered care by identifying and accommodating patient-specific needs (age culture language disabilities etc.).
Work scheduled shifts including weekends/holidays; participate in on-call rotations and overtime as needed.
Meet organizational competencies including attendance punctuality and professional behavior standards.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience (hospital setting preferred).
Proficiency in routine and vascular studies.
Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance.
Familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy physiology and emergency care procedures.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. push/pull 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Maintains CEU credits in compliance with professional standards.
