As part of Emerson Power & Water Solutions business you will bebased in ournewheadquarters located in Cranberry Township PAand will join a diverse team of engineers who provides fully engineered control system solutions for power generation customers in North America. The team is part of the Thermal Power Solutions projects group and focuses on retrofits of existing plant control systems in the thermal power plant generation industry as well as the renewables industry. You will have unlimited opportunities tocollaborate with peers on critical projects to upgradeexisting plant control systems withindustry-leading automation controls and you are looking to bring your knowledge and expertise to an industry leader we would love to hear from you!
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Interpret and revise electrical schematic drawings
- Conduct wire audit and field verification trips at customer sites
- Design control system hardware to meet customer needs
- Develop and partition I/O databases
- Create drawing packages related to installation design solutions
- Supervise installation sub-contractors at the site during installation and commissioning activities
- Collaboratewith other business units
- Manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently
Who You Are:
You build and deliver solutions that meet customer display a can-do attitude in good and bad adjust communication to fit the audience and the message.
For This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of related experience
- Familiarity with Ovation WDPF and other DCS and PLC manufacturers I/O and cabinet layouts
- Experience in the design implementation and testing of plant controls
- Knowledge of plant instrumentation signal varieties and field wiring
- AutoCAD or similar experience and expertise
- Comfortable traveling up to 30%
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Familiarity with Ovation WDPF and other DCS and PLC manufacturers I/O and cabinet layouts.
- Construction and installation management experience.
