Job Summary
This role will report directly to the Project Engineering Manager or Sr. Manager/BP and support the project engineering team across various Silver-Line Plastics locations. This role requires the incumbent to have experience in project leadership stakeholder management strategic planning problem solving quality assurance and process improvement. The work will be in both the plants and corporate office with a focus on the more complex projects in our portfolio. Role requires close collaboration across departments such as operations maintenance quality control health and safety logistics etc.
Principal Responsibilities
As an SME (subject matter expertise topic TBD) provide guidance to broader department and the organization (as needed).
Lead and oversee the execution of complex engineering projects including
managing resources budgets and timelines. Projects include various modifications tofacilities equipment and buildings.
Plan and manage the installation and commissioning phases in our plants whileensuring that the corporate health and safety standards are observed.
Ensure the quality safety and conformity of work and equipment before and afterdelivery and installation.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as clients contractorsand regulatory authorities.
Contribute to the development of project strategies and goals aligning them withbroader organizational objectives.
Tackle complex engineering challenges make critical decisions and resolve technicalissues that arise during project implementation.
Implement quality control measures review design and construction documentationand ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Identify areas for process optimization propose innovative solutions and implementbest practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications And Experience
More than 8 years of progressive experience in engineering in a manufacturingenvironment or in a related field or 3 years experience plus an official engineers title.
Bachelor of Mechanical or Civil Engineering
Knowledge of extrusion and plastic molding equipment would be an asset.
Ability to work independently and within a team with strong skills in personal
motivation influencing stakeholders and relationship management.
Ability to handle multimillion dollar projects
Excellent skills in customer relationship management.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multipleprojects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills and rigor in detailed analysis.
Capacity to learn and evolve in a changing and technological environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate withdiverse stakeholders
Strong knowledge of software such as AutoCad and the Office suite.
Strong technical expertise in engineering principles practices and technologies.

Working Conditions
Employee may be exposed to a moderate level of hazards in the work environmentsuch as chemicals commercial products exposure to potential toxins movingmachinery repetitive motion excessive noise powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/bucket lift/other.
Frequently work indoors in corporate office environment with long periods of sitting.
Incumbent spends 10-20% of their time in the plant environment requiring varyingdegrees of minimal physical labour. Complete sketches taking measurementssupervising work performed standing and walking cover much of the work. Personalsafety is affected by exposure to dust and noise. Moderate amount of sensoryattention is required. Limited control of work pace and unpredictable workflow bringstress to this position.
The incumbent understands respects and adheres to the workplace Health & Safetyrules and regulations.
May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
Employee will not be required to perform specific tasks such as lifting muscular actionbody movements working positions posture changes.
When going to Silver-Line Plastics plants Employee will be required to wear protective eyewearhearing protection safety shoes hard hat and/or other.
Employee may experience progressive degrees of factors in the work process whichmay cause mental tension or anxiety (changing work priorities deadlines accuracyquotas conflicting demands.
Employee is expected to communicate by telephone MS Teams (on camera) e-mailand in-person discussions. Presentations of business cases and technical propositionswill be required to senior management.
Travel
Be available to travel within North America approximately 30% of the time.
Hold a valid drivers license and Passport
Employee may need to regularly visit other Silverline Plastics locations.
