Job Description
The Opportunity:

High Net Worth (HNW) insurance is all about providing tailored coverage for the finer things in lifeluxury homes high-end vehicles fine art jewelry and other valuable assets. This is your chance to work in a niche market where your skills will make a real impact.
As part of the Continental Europe Team youll play a key role in underwriting new and existing business accounts while delivering world-class service to our broker partners. Reporting to the Strategic Underwriting Development Manager PRS CEMENA (based in London) youll collaborate with a European team of 70 professionals including a close-knit team of 2 in the Netherlands.
Were looking for someone ideally based in our Amsterdam office but were open to candidates in Rotterdam or Antwerp. If youre passionate about luxury insurance and thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment this role is for you.
Your Responsibilities for this role may include but are not limited to:
Transactional:
Responsible for underwriting new business appraisals and renewal business up to your agreed authority limits.
Proactively round out existing accounts and cross-sell other classes of business.
- Manage underwriting queries via phone and email ensuring prompt and professional responses.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Claims Marketing IT etc.) to troubleshoot and resolve queries efficiently.
Broker Management:
Demonstrate a good level of proficiency in the use of the management information systems to be able to understand the data analyze any trends and report on the underwriting performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with broker partners ensuring mutual success.
Sales Disciplines:
Conversion of New Business through pre-qualification of target prospects.
Assist in a wider variety of tasks as part of a project team to launch new products across the CE region.
Work with the team to ensure all target quotes are monitored and pursued to ensure conversion rates influenced positively.
Ensure all communications with broker partners are collaborative and sales focused to ensure both retention & new business opportunities are maximized.
Qualifications
What skills & experience are required
- Fluency in Dutch and English is necessary (additional European languages particularly German Spanish or Swedish are a plus)
- Proven experience in HNW insurance ideally with a background in Motor or Household underwriting.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Willingness to travel within the Benelux.
