NP/PA Urology 1.0 FTE
Duluth MN with possible outreach to Superior WI & Virginia MN
Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision-making skills while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention caring for patients ranging in age. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and others.
Practice Specifics:
- Diverse opportunity to work in clinic hospital and surgery
- Ideal candidate will have Surgical Assist skills but not required
- Typical schedule will be Monday through Friday 8 am 5 pm with a 1 in 4 Weekend Call Coverage Model (Call Pay Provided)
- Primary location: St. Marys Medical Center/Duluth Clinic/Miller Dwan Medical Center
- Future Outreach locations: Virginia Medical Center and St. Marys Hospital Superior
- Position offers ideal team approach which positions 5 APP and 5 Physicians
- Opportunities to develop your own niche such as Mens Health Clinic and Pelvic Floor Therapy
EDUCATION:
Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelors or Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota and eventually Wisconsin Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in MN and eventually Wisconsin Current certification in CPR. National certification in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
