As part of the vehicle distribution process the Functional Technician performs one or more functionality checks for vehicles in addition to making adjustments or alignments of parts according to guidelines or product operating requirements.
Responsibilities:
To complete Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) inspection of vehicles; including the final check and inspection of vehicle to confirm readiness for sale.
Installation of wheel covers and mats as .
Work closely with Quality Inspectors.
Perform special assignments as requested by management.
Responsible for care of tools furnished by SETIP.
Process and ship Final vehicles on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
Previous mechanical or automotive experience preferred and working knowledge of installation tools.
Able to lift 75 pounds independently stand for extended periods of time; crouch bend and twist constantly.
Be quality-minded detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.
Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Work effectively with teammates and with limited supervision.
Exceptional housekeeping and organizational skills to align with 5S initiative.
Meet production output expectations.
Willingness to be cross trained for other positions of the Vehicle Processing Center.
Valid drivers license required; ability to drive manual transmission vehicles preferred.
Some Saturday work may be required depending on workload.
Excellent work and attendance record with demonstrated flexibility to work overtime and alternate assignments as needed.
