About the Role

SportRx is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ecommerce Technology Manager to oversee the technical infrastructure and performance of our online store. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the stability security and scalability of our current Magento platform while leading the strategic replatforming initiative to a new modern commerce solution.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ecommerce ecosystems a strong technical background and a proven ability to manage complex projects and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Management & Operations

• Manage the hosting connectivity and overall uptime of our current Magento site
• Oversee system performance security patches and software updates to ensure a stable and high-performing site
• Monitor and manage site compliance including PCI GDPR ADA and other relevant regulations
• Ensure the deliverability and performance of
• Work with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively

Replatforming Initiative

• Lead the discovery evaluation and selection of a new ecommerce platform (e.g. Shopify Salesforce Commerce Cloud BigCommerce etc.) that aligns with business goals
• Develop and manage the project plan budget and timeline for the replatforming project
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders developers and agency partners to ensure a seamless migration with minimal disruption to business operations
• Manage the technical implementation data migration and quality assurance processes for the new platform

Technical Infrastructure & Security

• Responsible for site uptime performance and scalability
• Work with our host to configure firewalls security protocols and other protection measures to safeguard the site and customer data
• Oversee and maintain API connections between the ecommerce platform and other business systems (e.g. NetSuite Attentive ThoughtMetric etc.)
• Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
• Work with developers and creative teams to ensure SportRx is WCAG 2.1 AA compliant

Agency & Partner Management

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external technology agencies and hosting providers
• Define project scopes manage deliverables and ensure that partner performance meets service level agreements (SLAs)
• Collaborate with agency partners to implement new features resolve technical debt and optimize backend site performance
• Manage data feeds into partner systems (Google Meta etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience as an Ecommerce Manager Technical Project Manager or similar role
• Strong technical knowledge of ecommerce platforms particularly Magento and familiarity with others like Shopify Salesforce Commerce Cloud or BigCommerce
• Experience in managing and successfully executing replatforming or migration projects
• Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML CSS JavaScript APIs and databases
• Experience with cloud hosting environments (e.g. AWS GCP Azure)
• Familiarity with web security best practices firewalls and data compliance standards (PCI GDPR CCPA WCAG)
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
